Shadow the Hedgehog

Shadow the Hedgehog was my #1 most wanted character in Smash Ultimate at one point before Crash Bandicoot.

When I first heard about Knuckles being added as an Assist Trophy, my hopes skyrocketed thinking Knuckles took over Shadow's role and have Shadow be a playable character, only to be letdown in the end. Anyone remember The Grinch Leak? Well one of the characters in said leak featured Shadow, supposedly implying he was gonna become Sonic's Echo Fighter. But sadly the rumor was proven fake. And in the end, Shadow got the Waluigi treatment once again.

Shadow would've been a perfect third-party Echo Fighter, but all we got instead

are only two third-parties, two Fire Emblems, two cliché dark recolored/reskinned doppelgangers, and a princess from another castle. Making a total of only 7 (5 if you don't count Dark Pit & Lucina since they both first appeared in Smash4 before Echo Fighters were a thing) Echo Fighters on the whole entire roster, which is just laughable in my opinion.

Since both Sonic and Shadow play practically the same (with slight differences), as seen in Sonic Adventure 2, Heroes, 06, & Forces. Shadow would be a perfect addition to the roster of Echo fighters (a full-fledged fighter would be awesome too) for Smash6. I could see some slight differences in terms of animations, special moves etc. to differentiate from Sonic to make him a more unique fighter. And maybe adding in "I Am All of Me" as a new song would be dope.
