Camellia, Flute, and the aura (wind spirit) Haley are the central characters of Torann. All three are mythical beings, but that doesn't make them inhumanly perfect, or any closer to nature than you or me. They're just a group of of three troubled young adults brought together by circumstance, and gradually wrapped up in events much bigger than themselves. But with Cammy's nature magic and her father's wind crystal, Haley's wind magic and homemade hail shooter, and Flute's... enchanting voice, they're ready to take on the world. Hopefully.

Haley is kind of a mysterious character. She's really into steam mechanics and metal forging--both almost entirely foreign to dryad and fairy society--and gets kind of evasive when asked about her past, though she seems to come from a surprisingly wealthy background. Haley's initially rather shy and panicky around others, making her an easy mark for Flute. However, the fairy's snipes and jabs help bring out Haley's more assertive and defensive side, which Cammy then helps her turn into self-esteem. Haley's deceptive mental fortitude is something Flute can't help but respect, however grudgingly. Because she's the largest and (usually) quietest of the three, Haley fancies herself the team's de-facto mother... though she often gets in shouting matches with Flute that Cammy has to break up.

This was more posing and background practice, as well as an experiment with rim-lighting effects. I feel like it turned out really well on both accounts. Bit of trivia: the concept and basic design for Haley's shooter came to me in a dream.
