I Wanted To Draw Something Summer-y While It Was Still Summer. No Matter What I Tried To Come Up With, Only One Thought Really Stuck: Womens Team Goes To The Beach. Looking At Some Poses I Had While Brainstorming Only Cemented The Idea, And So I Finally Got To It. I Really Hope You Like It!

This One Was Kind Of A Challenge; For One, My Internet Went Out For A Week. I Realized I Didn't Really Have Any Pictures Of Mai For Reference! Luckily, I Have A Bunch Of KOF Games To Help With That. I Also Had Trouble With Doing Their Body Proportions; Both Because I Do Less Group Shots Than Solo, And Because I Wanted Them To Be Different Due To Their Habits And Different Fighting Styles.

The Background Was It's Own Beast. I've Been Meaning To Do More Actual Backgrounds For A While, But With No Internet, I Couldn't Really Look Up Tutorials Or Additional References. Luckily, I Had Drawn A Beach Once Before, And There Was The South Town Beach Stages In KOF 15 (Which This Is Based On), So I Did What I Could With Those. The Funniest Part Was That I Wanted To Have Them All Standing At Different Parts Of The Beach; Mai On The Dry Sand, King On The Wet Sand, And Yuri In The Water. I Had Gotten So Into Drawing The Background, That When I Put Them All Together, Yuri Was Standing On Top The Water Instead Of In The Crashing Wave.
