The fantastic world that Tolkien created in Lord of the Rings is loved by most everyone, but I have not met anyone who cherishes it more than John from Lonely Mountain Band. He has been moved to compose music inspired by the lore, but more than this his tunes are written as if from within this world. He played some of the songs for me and I too felt as if I were a citizen of Middle Earth while listening and knew he had captured some magic in his melody and lyric.

He has been working on a new album in this same vein and has ventured into crowdfunding to make it real. I lend my hand in the art department and produced a painting that helps set the theme of this new album titled 'The Bard of Lost Tales'.
