LORE

“So this is where her body was fused with.”

Chema whipped his head around to find an old face. There was a glowing figure with poor posture lumbering around the heavily wooded area behind Mava and Chema. The figure carefully walked away from the woods and towards Chema.
As it came closer Mava could make out the details more, the figure looked about as tall as Chema, perhaps taller if the posture was better. The body has a masculine build to it, and was the texture of freshly bruised flesh. It had three eyes, the top and bottom eyes were giant with black pupils. The third eye bothered Mava the most, it was a light green that was riddled with pink capillaries. “Angel,” mava thought, but it wasn’t quite that. Their halo was much different compared to Chema’s, or NEV’s. It looked liked a stretched out net that was constantly moving. The bottom part of the halo was intact with shapes close to Chema’s.

It’s hand reached out to Chema in an attempt to pat his shoulder, but he sharply turned around to face the figure.

“What do you want Alamus?” The figure looked shocked and squinted all three eyes at Chema.

“What’s with the tone, I’m just curious as to what most of the other angels have been balling about. Have you heard the names they’ve been giving this creature?”
He motioned to Mava, who fiddled with their clothing, a little afraid of the names due to their history of haunting their dreams.

“You may call him Mava, it’s not like they’re mindless. You didn’t answer my question what do you want?” Chema walked towards Mava and help their shoulders.

Alamus chuckled. “I gave you an answer, I was curious about little Mava here and if what they’re saying is true.” Mava opened his mouth to speak, but Chema Spoke out before they could.

“They’re not true, it’s all out of spite. You of all of us should know about driving someone insane.” Alamus stared at Chema. “Mava is not one of your human playthings to torture and lead astray with you glamor.” Alamus tilted his head back and laughed hard.

“Now who’s the one being spiteful! You know my limits! We’re in the same caste I can’t harm any humans!”

Something clicked in Mava’s head. They finally spoke.

“Demon?” He croaked.

Both Chema and Alamus looked down at them.

Alamus Looked back at Chema, who looked a bit concerned.

“They’re smart, they’re from that necromancy line after all. I don’t know why you think you have to protect him.” Chema’s grip on Mava’s shoulders tightened.

“Do what you wish but leave them out of this.” Chema’s eyes narrowed at Alamos, weary of his intentions.

Mava cocked their head, they couldn’t sense anything ill coming from this creature. There was a different type of energy emitted from his form, but it wasn’t anything they weren’t familiar with. Alamus drew closer, he reached out towards their face and gently grabbed it. Annoyed with everything that’s been trying to destroy them Mava flashed their teeth as Alamus stroked his flesh. They stared back into the green eye. They noticed there were strange shadows in the green eye, vaguely human figured crawling around other strange shapes as if they were attacked. The longer they stared into it the more uneasy they felt. Mava shifted their gaze towards the other two eyes that were constantly bleeding. His touch felt cold compared to Chema’s flesh.

“Whatever you do, leave them be. They’ve done nothing wrong.”

Alamus’s middle eye stared intensely at Mava, while the other two eyes looked towards Chema. “What would I have to gain messing with your lessons with this creature?”

Chema raised a brow. “What do you gain from toying with humans and storing their souls in your third eye?”

Alamus ignored Chema and pulled back, he managed to feel the lock of black hair on Mava’s face.

“So did you make them aware of his soul? I’ve been hearing other angels whisper about it, they fear if they knew it would make getting Achtoch out of this realm much harder and perhaps be punished like The Watchers.”

Mava froze.

Chema’s eyes were wide open, they darted in Mava’s direction.
