Apparently, it is not a good time to call for nuclear deescalation on social media. Various users will just call you a traitor or a Putin apologist for daring to suggest that maybe the west is doing something wrong. Or they'll go in the opposite direction, like Tucker Carlson on fox news, and pretend this entire crisis is solely the fault of Biden and the democrats.

Some interesting things to note:

1. Biden's top diplomats are, at the time of writing, sitting on their asses doing nothing. It seems Biden is perfectly content to drag out a proxy war for as long as possible, regardless of casualties or nuclear escalation.
2. Although many on the right believe that Trump was antiwar, he happily ripped up arms treaties that are supposed to protect the world from disaster. He also ran pompous nuclear tests.
3. George W. Bush openly called for Ukraine and Georgia to join NATO in 2008 and simultaneously refused to talk to Moscow about missile placements in eastern Europe, pointlessly antagonizing Russia and forcing everyone down the path of confrontation.
