Great job with this comic! The decision to incorporate two different art styles into a single comic can be a risky one, but here it's conceptually justified and, more importantly, confidently executed. Your confidence as an artist shines through in both the full color and sketchy pages. Good luck in the contest!
Stray Martyr: The White Door
ShareHey, hello, hi :P - it's been a while
Yeeah, ever since I saw the sweet sixteen comic contest post a while back, I was just jolted with motivation to do a comic (for once).
I had this story just kinda sitting in a google doc collecting dust for some time, so I went with it and winged it. This story is one which takes place in the universe of Stray Martyr (an original by lil ol me!), before the events of the main story itself. Basically, backstory for some major characters (more or less).
I haven't really done a comic in this format before (or even at all, really), so some things might be a bit weird or janky that could've been better (some things I'm noticing in retrospect agg). Doing this did give me some more confidence though, so I think I'll try doing some more comics in the future (either in this universe or a different one of mine).
Anyways, I'm going to rest, I've got college assignments to worry about til next week woohoo
