Hello followers!

I know I normally would put out some sort of Journal/Status Update for these types of updates, but I remember back in the day doing little drawings with updates...so why not!

2023 has a month left, and what a year it has been for art! I was able to complete two challenges, work a myriad of mediums, and really put work into a lot of projects! Here are some open statuses on a few of the projects worked on/started this year, whether or not publicly discussed:

>Humans vs Zombies Dating Sim - As many of you saw, I released the first iteration of the HvZ Choose Your Own Adventure earlier this year. Currently, the larger game is still in the script writing phase, with the current focus on the various dates you can go on with the characters, as well as the character growth storylines. I have also chosen 20 out of 24 (or was it 28?) missions that will be played throughout the story of the dating sim. I did a lot of research on popular dating sims/indie sims and saw what people like about them and dislike. I am taking a lot of consideration into having a fleshed out game that explores unique characters and gives the players a lot of options/interactions. I anticipate script writing and coding is going to take me through the end of next year as well, as I want to save the art as the final thing needed to do for the game. I am also working with a close friend to get some simple, but original music for the game!

>Sketchbook Completion - Some time ago, I took initiative to complete every single sketchbook I ever owned before buying any new ones. I had owned books stretching all the way back to 2008, or earlier. I am so happy to say that I am down to my final sketchbook, with only 20 pages left, and quickly decreasing with each day. I am fully anticipating finishing this book out by the end of December, completing this goal!

>Warriors Fanfiction - I have taken a hard pause on all writing at this time to focus on the HvZ game. That being said, the story I *had* been working on was very close to the finish. Ultimately, I'd like to loop this story in with a part 2 Choose Your Own Adventure game, but all of this is on the backburner

>Personal Zine - This was to explore cis-trans relationship experiences reflecting my own, and a celebration/dedication to my partner. Currently on the backburner just due to art block surrounding the topic. I have a lot of rough sketches, but I'm having trouble closing out the execution.

For closing out the year, it is my intent to finish out posting a lot of traditional art I did, catch up posting some NSFW work, and then maybe taking more requests or doing a fanart push. We'll see how I feel with that!

For 2024 - I have a lot ambition with art projects I want to start and look into (and maybe my eyes are bigger than my stomach here)! My partner is taking a management role in helping me determine costs, time/labor, and pricing. Current hopes on the horizon:

>Get 2 sticker designs printed for Magfest 2024 - I wanted to do something fun/silly and hide these all around the convention, and trade them at some of the artist meetups that usually happen. Probably the smallest project on the list!

>Looking into licensing new work for Greeting/Holiday Cards - pretty self explanatory, but I would want to make some fresh designs, or spruce up some old ones to be more card appropriate

>Looking into partnering with the Artomatic program! Artomatics are refurbished cigarette dispensers used to sell local art. I encountered several during my time in Las Vegas, and bought artwork using them. I've already spoken with the program's runner regarding some questions, and I am hoping to submit a prototype next year! I think my gimmick would be Goldfish art (anyone surprised?)

>Looking into selling at a (very small, very local) convention - this year is the second iteration of the Maryland Mayhem Nerfing event. I am taking the plunge and am hoping to table at the vendor day - so far planning what type of merchandise I want to sell, and start working on designs that are unique and that people would be interested in. I am going to be focusing on providing nerf/HvZ merch, but will probably sprinkle some original work in as well! 

>Continue doing 30 day challenges - I created a few new ideas including a new NSFW list, Fashion (Met Gala Themes from each year?), and more abstract concepts. But these challenges are long and take a lot of time! So will have to see about that.
