Although they are not the largest predator on Margos, being only slightly larger than thylacines, manticores can still pose a threat. Their most obvious weapon is their quilled tail, which can be used to attack creatures both up close and at a distance by whipping the tail with enough force to launch several of the quills as projectiles. One should not underestimate it's other strengths however. The manticore is very fast, agile, and intelligent, and its danger is greatly multiplied when encountered in a pack.

This is a redesign of an old manticore drawing for my worldbuilding project. The original was based off of the extinct creature the marsupial lion, but since Margos is the only place in this world inhabited by marsupials and I wanted the manticore to be in other regions as well as Margos I decided to give it a monkey based design. This is specifically inspired by the barbary macaque and lion tailed macaque. I put it in a similar pose to my original drawing just to be cute, but this one turned out way better, honestly might be my best pose/anatomy I've done so far.
