Adeleine shows her gratitude towards the king of Dream Land.
After seeing her wandering around, painting everything she had in her sight, the king offered to let the little artist live in his castle where she could have her own room. Although the king keeps her away from danger, one could say he isn't the greatest exemple and shouldn't even take care of someone.
He's lazy, clumsy, greedy, selfish, drinks a lot and apparently he steals food from the residents of Dream Land! However, Adeleine sees past this and knows "King" isn't really a bad guy. As for King Dedede, he only wants Adeleine to enjoy life.
the real dedede would be like: Small fry, that's making me hungry.
I like how Dedede's mouth becomes progressively larger every panel he's in lol
I can just hear this so vividly in the DeDeDee's southern voice from Kirby Right Back at Ya.
