Ruby Rose

Hi! I'm seeking refuge on newgrounds, since my art on deviantArt got deleted. They said it's showing underage stuff, but yeah, it's just a fictional 17 year old character. She isn't even showing anything so calm down deviantArt. Pls :v

I don't really know where else to share it, so I think that I'm going to upload my stuff here! ^.^

You and me both brother I show Deviantart proof the girl is not under age and they still delete it!

this is great art, it look like the art came straight from the show. great job

I don't think anyone on their right mind would turn down that opportunity...

With the massive "erotic art" exodus that happened recently, many excellent artists have come to Newgrounds to share their vision and art style. If anything, we should be thanking those sites for that; what's their loss is our gain! Case in point, we have this exquisite illustration featuring RWBY's best girl, Ruby Rose.

Though I haven't followed RWBY for a while, I still like the show (particularly the first two seasons/volumes); and I'm glad that fans are still making fan art for it. This entry features a very naughty Ruby, which honestly, I really like.

I really like your interpretation of Ruby; not only it is faithful to her re-design in the latter seasons, but I actually like how you managed to mash up both of her outfits and her newer character model. It's a pleasure to see her with her original PJs.

Another thing I like about this picture is the playful nature behind it; particularly Ruby's line about the viewer (is it the viewer, right?) helping her change. Oh... and I also like the panties that you gave her! I think that they are cute and that they fit her character and personality.

My only issue with this picture would be the background; though Ruby IS the focus of this submission, I would have liked to see a more detailed or less faded out background. Still, I like how the image implies that that's her dormitory at Beacon. It gives the pic a homely feel.

All in all, I like this entry a lot! Not only because it features the best girl in RWBY, but because it's a good version of her model.

Welcome to Newgrounds! I hope you like it here. We already know we are going to enjoy your submissions :3 And please, more Ruby Rose!

Kikuyo responds:

Wow! Thank you so much for the long review. I didn't expect something like this! :3

I was surprised that the "RWBY look" worked out so well, most of the time I have problems drawing shadows and faces, but the RWBY characters probably have some features on them which make them easy to recognize. So the outlines of the eyes can be "wrong", but you still think that it's Ruby because of the color scheme and the hairstyle. It's super fun drawing her^^

The show got better in my opinion, others say it's worse now, though. I really like the new models and can't watch the old seasons anymore (they also got rid of the clipping etc., but the budget is much higher now). Back then all the female characters had the same pure white skin, I don't like their old looks after seeing the new ones and I hope that they'll rework the old seasons in the future. I loved the outfits (and the pajama of course) though! :D

And yeah, I'm super bad with drawing backgrounds, that's why I'm just using rendered scenes from Blender or screenshots from the show, just adding lighting that fits into the scene ^.^ I hope that I'll lern it in the future, but it's really hard to start, especially drawing folds and creases (like they would appear on a bedshet) are really hardcore for me.^^
