Entry for Jazza's untraditional traditional art challenge.

This piece was made on a background of composite board. The skull is made out of almost five pounds of screws drilled into the background. The skull was then painted with fingernail polish and "antiqued" with watered down craft paint. The design in the background was made with cheap craft paint, floetrol, and WD40. The flowers and feathers were all epoxied on individually, and brushed with loose mica (from my other hobby - soapmaking). I also added dew drops with fingernail polish and sealed everything together. The frame is all upholstered by hand onto the base board, and the "rivets" are actually thumbtacks. The entire outside has the rivet thumbtacks to add visual interest from multiple angles, and the back is upholstered as well to clean up the entire design.
