Bounty: Kaleidoscope

Share

Remember in school when you learned about how colorful animals are typically the most dangerous? This is a prime example in the real world.

Let it be known that Kaleidoscope has never directly harmed a single entity that has come its way. Its danger therein lies in what its actions lead to, many of which include death. Kaleidoscope is a physical bank of memories, stealing every thought from its victims with one focused stare. Initially, one's memories will all completely vanish; they will forget everything from who they were, where they lived, and the names and numbers memorized throughout their lives. More severe cases (based on the length of visual contact with Kaleidoscope's colorful head) have shown victims forgetting how to do involuntary actions, such as standing, blinking, and in the worst cases, breathing.

The accompanying picture may prove somewhat misleading, as Kaleidoscope is only thirty centimeters high (~1 foot). Its small stature only adds to the danger in its effects, as one's curiosity will likely take hold in wanting to see the being up close. Its mode of transportation is unknown, however reports have indicated that it may be capable of short-range teleportation in spurts. Otherwise, it normally remains stationary.

Note: The name "Kaleidoscope" is not a name it, itself, has given or confirmed. It is a name instated by the Institution of Bounty Control (IBC). If the name sounds at all stupid, it is likely because whomever named it held a grudge.
