Finally posting my progress here with my newest project i'm undertaking, Apothion!

It will be an RPG game with a strong focus on the combat systems, visuals, and setting, with plenty of quirky wacky characters in tow.

Story time! The game takes place in 20XX, on an island in the atlantic ocean known as Apothion. In this world there exists a natural energy that makes up everything, from the very air we breathe, to mysterious anomalies that humanity encounters, like cryptids and encounters that just destroy what we established as logic. These anomalies usually get covered up and contained by the dedicated governments of each major continent, and society as a whole is left none the wiser, typically.

There exists deposits and hot spots of this energy in certain places around the world, but the most notable one of all is the one discovered on the island of Apothion. The US government discovered this island and its mysteries, and eventually made an agreement with other governments to share the island, for the studying and research of the site. In time the island became a dedicated civilization as more and more people started to move and settle there. Unfortunately the native civilization suffered because of this, and the tribes slowly started recessing, growing more and more disdain for "outsiders."

To start, here's the rough concepts of our main protagonists: Kolin, Adrian and Becca!

They were infants born into a science experiment that served to analyze the effects of the raw energy being injected into humans. A lot of the forced subjects didn't survive, however a good amount of survivors granted astounding results. Particularly 3 notable infants, they were granted abilities never before seen from any human merging with the energy: they were given the powers of creation, destruction and balance, said to only belong to that of ancient deities in legend.

The lead scientist Dex Xandereth, and his assistant Penelope Ephial took these 3 closely under their wing. They raised them like they were their own children, while continuing to analyze and observe them as they grew older. Their powers proved to be exceptional, and they learned how to utilize them quickly, they eventually became renowned emissaries of Apothion, solving problems and fighting against malicious forces that plague the island and it's people.

Creation, destruction and balance are materialized forms of the raw energy that make up the world. Kolin Adrian and Becca can exert the energy from their hands primarily, forming temporary forms of whatever they can think of, with different attributes for each. For example Kolin utilizes creation, which visually appears as a blue inorganic almost tech-like material, and can use elements such as water and earth. I will have a visual demonstration eventually!
