"I was born to an impoverished village, secluded from much of the outside world. 

Although we lived in poverty, life had been relatively peaceful... that is, until we had fallen prey to the brutal war being waged in our midst. None of us would have foreseen the day when enemy soldiers would raid our village, destroying what little I had in life... my home, friends, family... I myself would surely have met my end on that day, were it not for the village shaman, Shoroa, who had come to my aid in my time of need. He and I were the only survivors to have evaded capture. After tending to my wounds, we journeyed to meet the mountain sages, who would provide me a new home as he went forth to inform the king of what happened. I had hoped we would meet again, but alas, that was my final farewell to him.

In the years to come, I had learned much from the sages as an apprentice, until the time of my initiation. On that day, I adopted the name Nolphos as a gesture of parting ways with my former life, when I had still been named Naruchuk. Not long after, I had made the decision to depart from the temple, venturing into the world on my own, for I knew it had more to teach me than what the temple could offer, just as I had more to teach others than what the world could offer them."
