Back when CD first took off, [NULL] Entertainment Inc. attempted to make a better CD with the patented "HyperDisc", which could hold up to 5x more than the typical CD could. However, HyperDisc players were crazy expensive to produce and nobody was interested in buying more discs when they already had a collection of CDs at their homes. The HyperDisc was ultimately scrapped and never heard of again, however a promotional image was discovered from before it was meant to come out in Fall 1998.
