The Fanggen Matriarchs that run the Reislaufer Troops are usually the ones that deal with the different Merchants, or lords, that hire them. While Matriarchs have lost most of their will to deal with the other races, they are the leader of the troops, and most of those with the hiring purse usually wish to deal with the one in charge.

Not all Matriarchs are the Obrist, as most troops have a few Matriarchs scattered amongst the maidens that fill the base.
