Robotics is an overpowered field of science. It has been applied to build the most advanced humanoid robot, ASIMO. Surely, it is the Level 99 of the robotics tech for it is the 1st bot that can walk independently, climb stairs, and recognize faces and voices and much more.
But before it, robotics started as handy robot arms. It may just be an arm but it helped significantly in factory work and is used by companies in making cars and products. The IRB 6, a robot arm is actually the first electric industrial robot that was controlled by a microcomputer.
By then, researchers and roboticists dig deeper to enhance these robots in many ways such as having A.I., voice and facial recognition, and more. They have transcended boundaries to one, make the first robot astronaut, Kiribo.
Indeed, science and scientists have leveled up and are continuously developing to provide us with robots that will help in making an upgraded future for the betterment of humankind.

P.S. ASIMO and Kirobo are from Japanese pop culture (sort of I think). Both origanated from Japan.
