A Tale of Nataal

Share

Entry on World Anvil:

"The World of Nataal is a distant planet home to a race of Robots that engineer creatures to solve their everyday problems.

On Nataal, there are two robot civilizations. The first is the peaceful community of Kernelle, whose flavor of creature engineering is unified with the laws of nature. The second, Grand Cluster City, is a blindingly colorful metropolis of robots living off the backs of human-like slaves called hominids, and chitinous creatures engineered for cold calculated efficiency.

Watching over these civilizations is the Creator atop Mt. Gigabit, a mysterious figure revered by Kernelle and doubted by Grand Cluster."

Hey all! For the past month or so, I've been updating my unity game and trying to get it to a good point to share. I'm pleased to announce that the opening chapter of my game is finished, and you can download the latest alpha for free and give it a try right now!

If you do try it out, be sure to leave feedback over on the game's discord server. It's a game that is very much in progress, so I'm always grateful for constructive feedback!

This drawing took me over 20 hours. It's comprised of roughly 300 photoshop layers. If you're interested, here's the timelapse I put together:

nice job, you really created a whole thriving world here with just one shot.

This is a great piece, and I like how despite all of the robots walking around, the place still looks very human. Good concept.

TravelSizedLions responds:

Thanks! That's exactly what I was going for!

this is awesome! love the detail you put into everything

TravelSizedLions responds:

Thanks! It was a lot of work, and I had to pull from a lot of my existing concept art to fill that much detail in.

Absolutely gorgeous work.

TravelSizedLions responds:

Aww, thank you so much! That means a lot!
