Hundreds of thousands of American LGBTQIA+ soldiers, both current and retired, are held captive from being honest. They cannot express who they really are. They serve their country, but they can never admit they are LGBTQIA+ under the law of “Don’t ask, don’t tell”. They fight and sometimes die with never the right of being who they really are. Captive from homophobia that shouldn’t exist.
