This is insanely good! The reflections on the sphere (head?) are perfect and the fur is fantastic!
A seemingly empty room, walls covered in wood panels, an old lamp shaped like a bell like out of a 1980's show sheds a dim light in the corner, and the floor covered in speckled white wool carpet. As the creature approaches you see it has the body of a dog, fluffy hair, wide paws, and a very long tail. But without a head. Where a dog's snout should be, there's instead a smooth sphere, translucent, with what seems to be mist floating and swirling inside. The creature stops close enough that you can see the sphere and part of its neck.
Then she speaks. And you know she's female because she sounds just like Brie Larson, and among the words you only catch one: "Sly".

So, I dreamed of this creature a few weeks ago. I'm not the kind of person who often puts his dreams into the form of drawings. They usually stay as mere side notes on my sketchbooks to never turn into an actual illustration. But then this happened, and the feel I got out of this creature made me think "Dang, I need to put this on a canvas". So I made a small scribble on a scrap of paper and put it to the side until I had time to do any illustrating for myself.
So here's Sly. She's a doggo with a sphere for a head, to be part of the "animal or creature with something on their head that isn't a head" part of the art community. Not a very original concept at all, but I'm glad I actually put this together.
Please, let me know what you think of it in the comments. I appreciate and every single one I receive.

Thank you so much!
I did spend a bit of time working on the reflections, used tutorials for both and see if I could learn how to do better fur textures. I think this was a nice little experiment.
I'm really glad you enjoyed it this much!
