For this week's personal project, I wanted to give me something to draw for myself.
"Aah, you were at my side, all along.
My true mentor... My guiding moonlight..."
I love Bloodborne. I love this game to bits. I don't think, however, I'd like Bloodborne so much if Ludwig wasn't in it. Ludwig is, for me at least, the most dramatic figure in all of Bloodborne. It's not Gherman, or Lady Maria, or Micolash. I really, really feel bad for Ludwig, and I can't really put down exactly why. His boss fight in question is always so upsetting to me. It's not because it's hard, which it is (a lot!). But there's something out of the combination of theme, music and visuals that really gets to me on a visceral level. It's seeing this creature, who used to be a man, holding onto what remains of his previous life like it's a burning nail. There isn't a moment I finish his boss fight, and my face isn't covered in tears.
What a good game. What a good boss fight. What a great character. I hope to have made him justice with this picture.
Please, let me know what you think of it in the comments. I appreciate each and every single one I receive.
