For this week's personal project, here's what I thought was a clever idea and then turned out to be super dumb.

So a while ago I was in a call with friends and I mentioned how Xerneas sounds like the name of an Organization XIII member, which of course led down the path of wondering what Xerneas the Pokémon would look like in a cloak. And then I said, why not making him anthropomorphic and sit him in one of those super tall thrones that make no sense whatsoever? So that line of thinking led to what you're seeing right now, which is perhaps one of the dumbest drawings I've ever done, if that's even possible.

I've never drawn Xerneas until this point, and you can imagine how heavily referenced this drawing was. I pulled from in game shots, concept art, and 3D models to figure out how the hell his antlers work, and the bottom line is they're bullshit. Those antlers are a nightmare, but a good kind of nightmare, a fun one. One that you wake up from feeling rather rested and invigorated. The cloak was a different story altogether, and it was around the point where I got to his legs that I realised I've never seen an Org. XIII member without it. Before tainting my browser looking for Org. XIII pants I decided to just give him the robe.

It's fine, I'm sure he's wearing underwear, or is he?
