NOISY BOY - new hands

Share

(Mar 30, 2020)

  - Here my hands got ... to the hands of one merry fellow) It is contraindicated for me to do something, I will find a way to complicate everything! What is the point, his old hands were "springs" strung on a wire. Only the combination of metal and paper was a bad idea. The paper began to wear out quickly, and the wire could break at any time. Therefore, I decided to completely redo his hands and make them out of paper. The idea suddenly came to mind and everything was realized in a couple of days (it began on 03/28/20 and literally just finished ... yes, it turned out so quickly, because I didn’t have to completely redo his hands, then it would be sure that the remaking would take a month, if not more))

- What has been changed:

* The shoulder joints with a not very successful combination of a simple joint and an "envelope" (I was really lazy then) were replaced by large ball joints with the base on which they rest.

* Both hands on the pistons! Pistons are extremely rarely used, because their use should be meaningful as well as their location on the figure. This will be a tutorial later ...

* And the little things: the extra segment was removed from the spring between the torso and the pelvis, so that the figure became more stable and did not lean under the weight of its arms and head, and the leg joints were slightly improved.

- Now it’s easier to manipulate the figures with your hands, the hinges and pistons hold the set position and now it’s more interesting to interact with the figure, without risking breaking something.
