zomg

it is so funky! besides some small lines for detail is it all little colorful squares?

J-qb responds:

yup; all squares; it was made with a square brush, so even the small detail lines are a bundle of squares.

zbrush normal map, lol

*google it if you don't know what is that*

J-qb responds:

dont get it.... are you referring to the rhino model that is packed in zbrush as an example?

Favorited.

Sometimes it doesn't matter how long it took you...

He has such a cranky rhino-y face, it looks like he's crying about falling apart at the horns. The pink underneath makes him look like he's at a club too.

I don't know why, but this piece is really endearing to me.

J-qb responds:

Thanks, and I agree with you on the time thing...
In fact its a lesson i`ve had to learn the hard way over the past months that sometimes a picture just doesnt work, no matter how much time you put into it. and sometimes a picture does work, but putting more time in it doesnt make it better... its a funny thing, art.

thanks!

First!

Ah~ so psychodelic!
Love it! very creative :P
How'd you do it? and with what tablet? or program?

J-qb responds:

Thanks! dont take too much pride in being the first though, the art portal isnt exactly generous when it comes to reviews ;)
wacom bamboo tablet (the old one, not the new) and photoshop... see my personal art thread (http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1065445/3)for more information on how I made it.
