In my birthdays I like to reconnect with the past to remember where I came from and acknowledge how much I evolved. It has been more than two years since I last made any update to Mega Man X: Unit 49, but I decided to make a timeline for the evolving sprites of my fan characters.
The beginning of the current comic (2015) is closer to its original version (2010) than it is to today. I have a better notion of "what is Mega Man" and consumed a diversity of other media in the last few years. My current critical sense tells the comic could be restarted *again*, but that won't happen. I still can't leave behind a part of my youth that has been sacrificed for those 430 pages to come into being, but I also find little room in my life to continue producing it. Restarting again would put its conclusion even farther away. So, when I find that little room and break this terrible hiatus, all I can do is to keep writing it as good as I can. If I am never able to do it, I will still cherish what I've done, for all that work has led me to where I am now.
