The female Gnark is darker in coloration in order to work as better camouflaged against predators. Females usually are slightly larger in size and lay a clutch of 4-7 eggs after a gestation period of 10 days or so. Once the eggs are laid it takes 2 months for the eggs to hatch. The male babies stay with the group until they mature which is about 2 years after hatching to avoid inbreeding. The females stay with the group and wait for a lone male to join their group, unless there is already a male or three in the group. The highest amount of male Gnarks in a group is 3 while for females there can be 4-20. The females in the group usually have a close bond, so it takes a while before a male is accepted fully into the group. The average Gnark life lasts 12 years. For the females of creatures I focus more about the female and their young, and also give some facts I didn't give in the males description.
