The female Gekkon is darker in color like most female reptiles, birds, and dinosaur-like creatures, im saying that so I dont have to go over that all the time. Female Gekkons are larger and more aggressive than males, since they have to protect their young. Females lay a clutch of 2-4 eggs. The young stay with their for the first 3 years of their lives which is when they mature. Then they leave and look for their own territory to occupy. The Gekkon's breeding period is between the months of November and December. Then they lay their eggs once spring comes along. Gekkons can live up to 24 years, but usually die at ages 14 or 16 due to competition from larger carnivores, sickness or natural disasters.
