Hey guys! Surprised I finished this on time- I spent weeks on this. I’m usually not a big fan of digital art but I decided to challenge myself and enter my first Jazza’s COTM with a digitally coloured piece. This proved to be difficult for me because it was done on an iPad mini when fingers and medibandpaint pro, which keeps crashing. I did the background on computer since the brush sizes are larger(same program). I chose dark colours for this so it’s best to view this on a computer to show all the details of the background, smoke ashes, bright fire and shadows. Speaking of shadows, I learned a lot. I decided to have solid black shadows and coloured ones. I coloured this piece by choosing depressing colours, like dark blue and dark green for a soldier theme. The sky is a mix of colours and overall the price has a dark atmosphere. Only his loved one can brighten up his life in this dark cruel world, hence why I made her glow. I wanted to add much more but didn’t get the time to do it. Anyway, I do hope I win as I can’t buy any of those things, since I’m still young. This was a really big challenge for me, but good luck to all participants!:)
