Very good work!
Hope you continue doing this art :)
Chubby Totodile is chubby. And despite its chubby-ness, I drew the fella too flat in general (last year) to make the most of my coloring exploration.
I had a headache and decided to take a break from recording to try something outside of my comfort zone: Cleaning/fixing up my sketches and coloring.
It was really relaxing and by 4 AM, my headache was gone~ I'm not too sure if this properly pulled off the "child-like drawing" look I was going for. Especially since it looks too "filled in" and wasn't drawn simply enough to begin with. Ultimately, I'm gonna have to do some serious pen mileage to eventually figure out how volume is supposed to be drawn and now, light studies on top of my other crappily self-taught studies.
At least coloring isn't "scary" anymore, if my fuzzy understanding of contrast worked. I'll probably-maybe do it for often, if I ever get time or stop being lazy.
My Gengar drawing was an experiment in using the Pen tool, this was in cleaning up and coloring scanned artwork, so I'm not too sure what I'll try for my next drawing, since it's Suicune and Entei drawn in profile (again, last year). Maybe an experiment in gradients?
