Eighth of the finished character artwork promos done from a set of saved sketches I had for the "Artist Army Competition" for the Draw with Jazza youtube channel.

I initially came up with the idea of doing a bunch of OC's for friends along with several well known internet personalities in the more "Adult" areas of the community. Everything was going along fine

Until Illustrator - yes I use Illustrator to draw - decided when I had all the sketches just about done, to up and poop the bed.

I literally had no sketching to do and was beginning on the line art for the whole piece - again in Illustrator - and it decided to just up and say "nope" and the file is irretrievable

As you'll be able to see here through some of the sketches that I'd saved to my business facebook page, that I'd begun working on the line art as my character - the skull guy - was done. Spent nearly an entire night trying to recover the file using all sorts up to and including text editors to find the problem, didn't work in the end and I had to restart this whole thing, with less than 2 weeks left to get it done.

I have to admit there were times when I felt like minecrafting myself for the amount of work I planned

but

I got it done - just in time too.

The friends I have that ask me for designs is insane sometimes.

While I won't go into detail on this one, suffice to say this one is heavily personal to my friend.

On with the design, with no real input on the design aesthetic, I chose to take a page from the Alita Battle Angel book and designed her to look more like a bit of a cyborg or android with human looking features. I incorporated a look similar to XJ-9 from the Nick series my life as a teenage robot for the leg and arm designs while keeping the colour scheme more Alita.
