hi! this is my first post on newgrounds and it's quite overdue tbh
since all other social media is becoming depressing dopamine cages i find myself being very nostalgic for the days i was active on deviantart - an imperfect site, but a home for a community of amateur artists. i wouldnt be where i am today without it and without the countless other artists i met on there. i'm not too familiar with newgrounds, admittedly i haven't used it very much, but i have lots of admiration for what it represents and i hope i'm able to join and rekindle the sense of community i've been missing for the past several years.

this was a very fun self portrait - i challenged myself to not use any vector tools for this one and i like the result. feels very organic. i'm currently painting a pair of cheap combat boots to look like the ones in this. i've been weirdly into it.
