EDIT: I have caught wind that Big Ounce actually passed away for real as of November 18th 2023 when the news was uploaded on YouTube. I will never forget the day I met Big Ounce. We were deep in the trenches, and I was sent to scout ahead and do some reconnaissance work against the Cong as a Tunnel Rat, being the skinniest one in our group. I even got a nickname. The boys called me Lennie, humorously and ironically named after the guy from Of Mice and Men due to his stature and strength. I must have been underground a whole 23 feet in the dank, cramped tunnels before I fell into a trap. It was a spike trap, but not just any spike trap, the ones that point downwards. This means any attempt to free myself would no doubt tear my leg to shreds, best case scenario leaving me unable to walk ever again. I thought I was done for, but before I was about to bite the cyanide, I hear a distant "Yahoo!" along with the screams of at least 10 or 13 guards from a long distance. It was none other than Big Ounce. I told him what I was stuck in and all he did was laugh and tell me not to worry. He proceeded to eat the trap from around my ankles and any other Scorpion Traps that we may have come across on our way back to the surface. It was the best day of our lives. For me because my life was saved by such a stunning hero, and for Big Ounce because the mission made it so he feasted more than any king in history could only dream of. I owe everything to him, and I pray for him and his family as we truly lost a brave hero today. May he rest in peace.
