okay hi! so this is my pokemon legends arceus oc Navi and their poke partner Riolu! :3 i've been meaning to do art of them for MONTHS but this year has been rough in terms of motivation. but getting to end the year with this piece actually makes me kinda happy. i really challenged myself for this one and i'm so proud of the progress.

i've never been very good at backgrounds, but i thought i would give it a shot here. i actually used a screenshot of the lakefront of lake valor in pokemon legends arceus as my main reference for the background! i wanted to give the back a very painted look, but i'm new to digital art so it was a challenge for sure. i know this piece isn't perfect by any means and a lot of things need work, but i do feel that this is a step in the right direction for my art moving forward bc it was such a great learning experience.

i hope to make more progress in my art in the new year and i really hope you all have a great new years weekend.
