- Melee combat: aside from using his claws and teeth in battle he is capable of wrestling, sumo, and boxing surprisingly; also capable of sliding on his tail for a drop kick.

- Prehensile tail can be used as a formidable weapon

- Armored scaly hide resistant to all conventional weaponry

- Amphibious and able to swim at up to 60 knots

-'Organizer G1: in cells provides remarkably fast regenerative healing

- Bio-atomic physiology absorbs radiation for energy

-'Atomic Breath' can destroy almost any man-made structure

- Incredibly intelligent for a reptile.

One of three of the main Titans of earth, Godzilla is seen as the Master of the Oceans despite being dubbed King of the Monsters by many. He was Originally named Gojira by the native people of Odo Island who worshiped him, Godzilla was the last of a great line of mighty theropod dinosaurs. He was first officially documented in 1954 after causing a number of shipping disasters in the South Pacific. Even prior to his mutation, Godzilla was already noted as being far larger than any other specimen in the fossil record. Wanting to avoid panic at the revelation of such a creature, the US and Japanese governments lured him to the site of the Castle Bravo atom bomb test at the Bikini Atoll in hopes of killing him quickly and quietly. Instead, the massive dose of radiation made him larger and stronger as his body not only absorbed the radiation but gained the ability to weaponize it.

In retaliation, Godzilla turned most of Tokyo into a sea of fire. Though temporarily defeated by Dr. Daisuke Serizawa's sacrificial use of the Oxygen Destroyer, Godzilla would return to menace mankind, again and again, seeking out nuclear reactors for sustenance and retaliating against humanity's assaults on him. However, he would also go on to defend the Earth from various rampaging monsters and extraterrestrial invasions. His raw power and apparent status as an 'Alpha' among his fellow Kaiju led to him being dubbed the 'King of the Monsters'.

Godzilla apparently considers the entire Earth to be his territory. When not hunting for fuel, he spends most of his time hibernating in deep ocean trenches, senses alert for any perceived challenge to his dominance.
