Adventure Awaits

Author Comments

You know when you play Metroid and you see the vast expansive map and you say "Yeah! I'm a silent powerful badass and this is my playground. Adventure!!!" That's what I wanted to convey with this one. I'm very happy with Samus herself, the Chozo statues (for the most part) and the star-scape. There are few bits that could have been better but I've worked on it for so long that I had to just finish it and move on. I did manage to learn a thing or two while working on this one so I'd consider it a success. I hope everyone likes it.

P.S. Big thank you to Jaxxy for giving me some help with the coloring techniques.

Samus is thick, almost like she's built from jumping/fighting/running all the time.
surprised I hadn't seen this when it was posted.
spectacular work on the surroundings and scenery and the lighting is so perfect for setting an otherworldly mood.

hooooooooly details, this is friking outstanding and one of the best works I ever seen , I could go on and on about why but that's not needed since the quality is very visible even by the least trained eyes, even a blind person would say this is beautiful if it had paint parks on a panel.

godly work sir.

Oh man. This is probably my favorite piece on Newgrounds so far. I REALLY love this! High-res too! 5/5
