Creation: DrawWithJazza's August 2017 COTM

Share

Hello! This is my entry for the beginner category of DrawWithJazza's unconventional art challenge. I called this piece Creation. I made this mainly out of nail polish and highlighters, but I have a full list of the supplies on my WIP, which will be linked at the end of this paragraph. Creation is a piece that basically represents the 'creation' of the universe by a higher power; a god. As you can see in the picture, a humanoid figure is cupping a galaxy in their hands, and putting their life force into it, which is why they're bleeding and in pain. The abstract colors around this god are probably its home; the fabric of creation and light itself. The black shadows around this figure are not just to dramatize this piece more, but to also show that this god is using the light itself, as well as themselves, to create the wonders of a thing we call life. Or, the black void we call space. I'm sorry that this god looks like a rainbow. Sadly, I do not have the fabric of the universe at my disposal for painting :/ just nail polish and highlighters, maybe a few packets of glitter. If you read this whole paragraph, thank you. Go buy yourself a donut.

Note: I am not religious, in fact, I'm an atheist. An atheist that tried to think outside the box like Jazza told his fans to :)

Note 2: Before you go bashing me that I abused the beginner category option, I swear on the chance humans have of becoming an intergalactic species that I am younger than 13.

Note 3: The image is slightly squished :( I hope this doesn't effect my chances!
