I remember watching tv at my grandma’s growing up and one of the countless ads that would play was a diet ad. A woman with bright ass lights shining on her stood there and preached about how this food system made her lose weight. The ad painted the picture that before she lose weight she was all of these bad things, and when she lost it, she suddenly was happy, worthy, fulfilled, and accepted. At the time, all I thought about was how the food looked yummy (I was a little kid). Now I look back and feel disgusted. Companies make money off of us hating ourselves. They sell LIES. Weight loss will never be the answer to your problems. Also BMI is bullshit anyway! Health can be at every size. Health is more than just a number on a scale. And our worth isn’t tied to that stupid number.
