The illegal reviving of poorly understood and incomplete Pokémon fossils that took place in the Galar region in 2019, is a dark page in the history of Paleontology. The authorities donated the fossilized material confiscated from the culprit to the Wyndon Natural History Museum, which allowed real researchers to study them and discover four new extinct Pokémon species.
One of them is Dromeozolt (Dromeozoltus pikapikas), a medium-sized predatory dinosaur Pokémon. Anatomical studies revealed that this Pokémon was able to reach very high speeds, up to
60 Km/h. They could generate electricity by running and store it inside specialized organs in their cheeks. This peculiar trait can be seen in many modern rodent Pokémon species like Raichu, one of many examples of convergent evolution in Pokémon. This predator chased down small prey and used the electricity stored in the cheeks to paralyze and subdue them.
Dromeozolt is closely related to species like Archeops and Reshiram, two bird-like dinosaur Pokémon.
