So, Dick Neck, Saen, and Saenipp are helicoptering over the Decepticon skybridge when they start getting lit up.
Because Action! Excitement! General BBS Derailment!
Figured I had to give Dick Neck some sort of weakness, so I gave him the 'ol Velma Dinkley "My glasses! I can't see a thing without my glasses!"
Here, I decided to get really weird with his abilities as a Dick Neck and raise the stakes a bit at the same time.
I adore this sequence.
And here's a prime opportunity to demonstrate some of Saenipp's abilities. Trickling them in for the audience. While also just establishing that Saen is some regular guy. He's not superhuman, he's just sprinting- he's bookin' it. That's his thing. He's a moderately in-shape dude without a shirt.
Or a nose, for the time-being. Because noses were hard for me.
I knew at this point that I needed to do color to this thing, but that was going to have to wait until after they left Earth. So it does a kind of Wizard of Oz thing, "Ohhh fantastical new world! With COLOR oooOOoo so we can tell which Transformer we have here!"
Because why not? I mean, how the hell else did he survive a nuclear explosion, from his origin story, unless he Wolvie/Deadpool/Lobo'd up.
That "Well I can do this can't I?" Was going to be a foreshadowing thing where Saenipp or some antagonist was trying to talk Saen down a situation, it's our heroes lowest point, and somebody tells Saen "There's nothing you can do, you're just a human" where it all came full circle and Saen has a gun or something and goes "I can do this" and it's badass, but...we never got to that part. This thing fizzles out, lmao.
Oh gee whiz I sure hope Didney duddn't sue me too for saying "Mutants" ...but this is a mislead. Saen ain't a mutant, he's just a host to Saenipp, who is an alien organism.
I decided to give Skywarp some F-15 Active thrusters, because they look more like feet than the F-15's traditionally round vectors. Even still, I'm a huge fighter jet nerd, and this was a fine opportunity to draw one of my favorites. In the drafted third act, all three seekers and Soundwave pursue our heroes to the alien world they escaped to. There would've been a glorious air-to-air combat sequence, as Saen, Dickneck, had amassed two other alien characters as crew, fighting off these flight-types aboard a ship not unlike the Millenium Falcon.
