The Manthis - Custom X-Wing Starfighter

The Manthis is a prototype to a line of next-generation X-Wing fighters - one of those models made for the Jedi Order, the SteathX Model. Following the Battle of Krantisi, Jedi Knight Zolph Vaelor had Incom Corporation’s mechanics fashion him a customized version more suited to combat than stealth (more similar to the T-65XJ series) with a series of s-foils that can split into six wings, with two heavy laser cannons mounted on the middle wings. He was also supplied with the borderline sociopathic astromech droid R9-C4. After an accident (which Zolph refuses to go into detail about) during the Battle of Onderon, Zolph decided to have the ship further upgraded by installing a passenger seat (usually occupied by his colleague, Hiriss Moraana). During the Forceless War, he would also add rear gun turret controlled through the passenger seat.

Amusingly, the Manthis didn’t get its name until many months after Zolph commissioned the fighter. After some egging on by his colleagues, Zolph named the ship in memoriam to his (as far as he knew at the time) dead friend, Dynn Manthis.

I'll admit, getting the wings was right was tricky, and I actually had to re-draw one of the wings in editing to keep it from looking weirder.
