Eyewing - Forceless Starfighter

During their mission to eliminate the Archfiend Cordycia on Felucia, Jedi Knights Zolph Vaelor and Hiriss Moraana learned a new, horrifying fact about the Forceless Collective: Not only do they absorb the souls of those they possess upon being killed, they can transplant those souls into new bodies made entirely out of Black Matter to fight for the Collective in a very specific role.

One such construct is the Eyewing, a mix of Black Matter and technological components based on a demon from Murigan legends that serve as something akin to a snubfighter within the ranks of the Collective's navy. Eyewings often have the souls of starfighter pilots (or general fighter/airship pilots on planets that haven't reached their space age) placed in them, with the Collective's most faithful cultists frequently committing ritual suicide so they can serve as such constructs.

As Eyewings are construct creatures, they aren't designed to survive beyond their design purpose. While the Eyewings are cybernetically modified with an ion engine and laser cannons, they don't have any form of personal shield generator and often rely on a carrier vessel such as Levioths or Bio-Nests for interstellar transportation, a combination of traits comparable to the TIE series of fighters. For those pilots loyal to the Collective, their expendability isn't seen as an issue, especially when they can be resurrected later, and it's not unheard of for them to pull off suicide strikes. To break pilots more resistant to the Collective's brainwashing, they sometimes give complete autonomy to those pilots instead of completely possessing them to make a point that not even death will free them from the Collective's grasp.

While they have legs, Eyewings' combat prowess on foot isn't as impressive as when they are in the air. As their cannons are built into their shoulders, they are rather unwieldy when dealing with small ground-based targets at close range. As such, they usually use their legs when forcefully grounded and dealing with infantry.

Some Eyewings have the ability to inject lesser Forceless symbiotes into other starships, adding more bodies to the Collective's ranks.

For size comparisons, they are around the size of a Separatist Vulture Droid.
