Yes... I know I drew a very similar picture to this with Xai and Kaa recently.
And yes, I know I have redrawn this scene like a hundred times.
But it's just so fun, and I just started doodling, and before I knew it, I had a really good sketch I wanted to finish XD
So I hope you enjoy regardless.I opted for no shading this time to feel a little closer to the jungle book feel (just without all the paintedness) since sometimes it just feels a bit much and it can often feel nicer just having it in flat colours like this.
I wonder why Xai was travelling with Ruby? Not sure, but I guess they do need to hang out more. At least, if they can make it out of this tree without becoming a midnight snack to a hypnotic serpent.
That is, if she even realises in time to be rescuing a hypnotized raccoon in a coil burrito and not a bulge in Kaa's tummy.
I do wonder what the dynamic between those two would be like.
It sounds like Xai's been getting on Ruby's nerves with his constant pestering though. Maybe he should just be quiet already.
