Original description

It's been a while since I designed a weapon! and I don't think I've done a magic staff before!
I had an idea in my head (vaguely inspired by the astral infection biome in the Terraria mod Calamity Mod) and had an idea of how I could accomplish it.
After creating a ague silhouette of a staff to lay down the idea, I had a bit of an epiphany. I made the grounding silhouette a very dakr grey and then made a new layer, gave it a black layer outline, then started stroking over with light grey. I realised eventually I could just copy the whole shape cus it was easier to erase than to add. So I spent the rest of the time adjusting the shape and cutting parts out. It ended up quite fun and I just spent a few days being creative and endlessly fiddling with it until I stopped feeling dissatisfied with it.
So, the time has come I stop fiddling and just post it XD

I've had this little daydream running through my head where a young boy meets a fairy with an injured wing and helps her by letting her rest safely in a little bed he makes up in his room and to reward him she takes him to a place in the spirit world where there's a great forest surrounding the fae court and it's filled with all manner of creatures thought to be myths to humans. 
And there's a way people can make a magic staff by providing an ingredient from a magical creature into a tree in the forest that you feel a connection to and then it creates a staff out of its wood for you.
Actually this was an idea I used before which I rehashed a little.
One of the basic premises is items stolen or taken by force are of relatively low power compared to items found naturally or otherwise obtained neutrally, but items given freely (if possible) are of much higher power and more likely to be able to combine with a second or even a third ingredient.
But the main character venture around the forest and was going to stop after meeting a unicorn and getting a magical hair from it, but travelled to see more of the forest and ended up helping/making friends with a lot of different creatures and gets items from all of them that all end up being combined in not just an ordinary tree, but a very magical and old tree who's seed is said to have fallen from space on a meteorite. Each item he obtains is strongest on one of the schools of magic, plus some other magical items he was given relating to some less standard magic school
So he gets this powerful staff from the magical tree.
There's more to the story too but I'm working it out in my head so that's all I'll share for now XD
