Original description

"What? I don't have one eagle claw, a lion's paw, and a snake tail, and all sorts of other things? Oh, are you talking about Discord? I've heard of him. He sounds powerful, the spirit of chaos? But we're not all like that."

Alcaria is a draconequus, and she is every bit as magical as other draconequi, or other magical creatures of equestria like ponies. but her magic takes the form of potions! Alcaria's magic allows her to mix substances with powerful effects. From potions and tonics that heal and cure, to elixirs and enchantments that create wondrous effects, and everything else from transfiguring mutagens to ... well, maybe some really refreshing juice.

Just gotta hope it doesn't make you grow any extra parts.

She sometimes finds it hard not to accidentally create disastrous effects when brewing just about anything, which can lead to some disastrous cooking. But years of honing this magic and learning how to control it instead of hiding from it has allowed her to create a wealth of potions. They almost always do what she expects them to do!

But she has a long way to go when it comes to learning about all the potential outcomes of her magic. It can grant temporary powers, cure illnesses, change aspects of one's body, create debilitating effects as poisons, or have any number of strange unexpected effects, but she has a lot to discover still.

If you feel like having a different eye colour for a day, or maybe you're an adventurer and need a healing potion, some extra good luck, or an elixir of Yak's strength? She's the creature to go to.

Alcaria is friendly and hospitable, but while she's not adverse to contact with others (particularly those she trusts), she's a little shy about physical affection and finds it hard to open herself up emotionally to others. Emotions are a mess of chemicals she can't quite figure out just yet. And she has no idea what to think about romance. But she's fine living and travelling by herself, or going on occasional trips with friends!

Also, nopony knows what's in that vial she carries around.

I had this character in my mind for a little while now. She was inspired by some OCs of little-sketches, and I used one of her pics as reference for the overall pose and proportions, though I plan to draw this character in other poses later.

I was messing with the colours for ages, and was mostly trying to debate between purple talons or yellow talons, also purple talons with purple tail stripe yellow talons and tail stripe? OR yellow talons and purple tail stripe? Hmmmm

Then I decided I could just say that she paints her claws sometimes, so there XD

Also she can change other parts of her whenever she wants with her potion magic, so, want a white tail stripe for a while? Sure.

I wasn't sure on the name. I wanted to sit here for a couple days trying to find some perfect lil name that has some meaning in some old ancient language, especially if it had something to do with alchemy or magic, but honestly? the first thing that came to my head seemed to work well enough XD

Meanwhile I've been debating endlessly back and forth on the name of a pathfinder character I've been trying to make, for 4 whole days now. I think. Cus nothing feels right XD and I have a big list of brainstorming with annotations. Yet here this girl is with a one hit wonder. Oh well, it's a relief. I just feel like I didn't give it much thought.

Also, some friends said her colours remind them of the asexual flag. I hadn't intended on that, but I could imagine her maybe being asexual bi-romantic, maybe? not sure yet. It isn't really important to me at this point.

Ohh and one other thing I was going to put in was a silhouette of a pony for size comparison. but I forgot and now there's not much of a place for it. So here is one
