This is so fuckin Roger Dean and I really like that

4.5/5: The doorway itself is the focal point of the whole piece, and the vortex in it then looks more amateur and with less fine detail than the remainder of the painting, so it was slightly disapointing at first because that's where my eyes went, but as I panned around I realized the rest of the piece was 5-star. I think you would do better to paint the vortex in a broader area before adding the door frame and covering some; i.e. it is your short strokes, where perhaps you didn't want to paint over the door frame, that take away the illuionistic quality.
