Back when I was 15 years old, I drew a portrait of XJ-9 on some hefty printer paper. It wasn't a bad portrait for the time, but nothing like the fan-art I had seen around online back in 2006. So finally, in 2017, I decided to give a portrait of her another try, and this is what I came up with.
The design keeps to the traditional shapes, her simulated clothing still being all-metal, but I gave her legs and arms connection seams, I expanded her shoulders to have their own axle bolts, and her hair is continuously set in jet-rocket mode, because I've since maintained that look for her hair, even if the jets aren't currently firing.
