The start of the Aaristian civil war was no quiet one, the insurgents had the support of numerous corporations and democratic aligned factions within the system. The United Kingdoms of Aaristia were prepared to face the onslaught of insurgent forces near the outskirts of the core regions of the UKA. Battle of the Rim would be the name given to the bloody engagement that kicked off the start of the civil war. This engagement also tested the strengths and weaknesses the UKAA possessed without the Elitoskovian intervening in the latter parts of the war. The engagement turned into a tug-o-war between the loyalists and the insurgents, as fighting on the ridgelines and the dunes would prove tough. Even with aerial support on both sides, it had taken a few weeks before any gains were made by any side. However, fortune had favor the UKA during the end of the engagement and marked the start of a uphill battle yet to come.
