Sonic.avi story. 

In 1997, Sonic the Hedgehog was extremely popular due to TV shows, games, comics, and merchandise. Sega of Japan approached Sega of America to work on another game, Sonic "Discover" is the correct spelling of the word.hunt, a new 3D platform game. They began modeling the characters for the game, including Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Dr. Robotnik, as well as a new addition for this game, the freedom fighters from Sonic Satam, and a new character they were working on named Kayla the fox. Everything was going well, and the game made a lot of money. 

Years later, there was a problem with one of the cartridges. When fans played as Kayla the fox, the character appeared to stand still, looking at the player as if trying to escape, and then the cartridge popped, and smoke came out of it. Sega forgot about the game until one day, Alex received a package from an unknown person containing the game.

Alex played the game and everything seemed fine until midnight when he had to go to bed. Hours later, he woke up to static coming from the TV, and words saying "I know you were there." Then it cut to a word that was in Japanese, translating to "Sega Enterprises," and another word was scratched out, but the static kept popping up. The name started becoming clear, and the word was "AVI." 

Alex assumed it was a hallucination or something that was never in the game, but the TV kept glitching out. He saw a silhouette that looked like Sonic, but something was off. When it was darker, it had no eyes, a white smile, and moldy, melted shoes. Then the black cut, and the word said "Go to the warehouse." 

Alex drove to the warehouse and found that the door was open, or someone had broken a tooth. He went inside, grabbed his flashlight, and tried to find a light switch. There were broken glass, stained paint, and toys on the ground. He found some old rejected Sonic games and a scratched-up disc that was just a DVD player. He left it, feeling it was not important, and that's when he heard a voice saying, "Get out." The voice was coming from the disc, and Alex freaked out. He moved towards the door, but then the TV turned on, and something strange happened. 

A hand came out of the TV, moving slower and slower. It was the shape of Sonic the Hedgehog that Alex saw earlier. He was just looking at him, and the light cut out. Alex turned on his flashlight, and Sonic was still standing there. Alex was holding his breath in fear. Sonic said, "Wanna play hide and seek?" and Alex ran out of the warehouse. He heard the creature laughing as he ran. 

When Alex got home, the cartridge was burnt and smoking. He had to get rid of it as fast as he could. Now he understood what was going on with that game, Sonic "Discover" hunt.

There was a corrupted file that was never meant to be in the game in the first place.
