watched lotr during the holidays as always and thought it interesting that tolkien’s orcs look so different to every orc that came after, they’re much more similar to goblins of modern fantasy most of the time, though i’ve always thought of them as a bit ape-like in physique

so here’s my take on an orc while trying to depict it based on tolkien’s vague (unfinished) descriptions alone, and although plate armor didn’t seem to exist in his works i’ll never care about that particular detail because plate is cool lol
